Things have been hopping at headquarters as a slew of new festivals announced their line-ups this week which is sure to help dry out some of the winter slush.

I've been dabbling with some new "community" functionality and am pleased to present the first version of JamBase Friends: http://www.jambase.com/myjambase/friends/

Sign-up or Log-in, and then "Invite" your friends to be a part of your network. It works like many of the other social networking sites you see. Here, you share your own MyJamBase Personal Show Calendars, and can discover new music based upon what your friends are going to see. Add a show to your calendar and it will appear in your Friend's calendar.

As you can see, it's still in "BETA" mode, so beware of errors and hopefully it'll all work.

It's another in a series of features designed to "bring people together", because after all, isn't that the fundamental mission of all things?
