Grateful Dead :: Fillmore West 69
When The Grateful Dead announced they were releasing every note from the legendary February/March 1969 run at The Fillmore West, I couldn't have pulled out my credit card fast enough. This limited edition box set IS lightening in a bottle, a glorious moment in time and one of the greatest collections of music to grace our planet.
Even though I listened to a copy of the 2/28 Dark Star > St. Stephen > The Eleven every day in college I still felt compelled to own the master recordings (plus my version had some cuts in it)
While the full box sets sold out in an instant, they are selling a "best of" compilation still over at the GD Store. Well worth it...enjoy.

Taught to be Proud
Tea Leaf Green has released their 4th studio album today, Taught to Be Proud.
It's a masterful sound, unlike anything I've heard recently. The lyrics shine and the production quality is fantastic. Nice work boyz!
You can buy it here: http://stores.musictoday.com/ttbp
If you've got Rhapsody, you can stream it here:

Trey Leaf Green
My worlds collided last night as Tea Leaf Green opened up for Trey Anastasio on the 2nd night of their midwest tour together. Trey invited Josh (guitar) and Ben (bass) on stage with him to close out his set with a rocked out version of the Beatles "I've Got a Feeling". Tea Leaf Green covers this tune quite often, and I've got to admit getting the chills listening to Josh trade licks with Trey.
You can enjoy it for yourself here: http://www.tealeafgreen.com/mp3/trey2005-11-03d3t04.mp3

JamBase Yahoo! Maps
When Google announced that they were opening up their Maps to developers to integrate with their websites, I geeked for a few days and developed a JamBase Google Maps Mashup
When I discovered last night that Yahoo! had essentially done the same, I couldn't resist.
Thus, here's version 1 of a JamBase Yahoo! Map integration
It essentially does the same the same thing as the Google one (no directions or lines between shows yet), but I get the feeling this might be more flexible and expansive, as well as actually supported and has a lot of potential for integration with the everyday JamBase application. We shall see. Enjoy for now.

Why is JavaScript case senstiive?
It really bothers me that javascript is so CaSe sensitive? Does it really matter if I say:
var divID
or
var DivID
???
Why should it make a difference? I know that they are technically different characters, but I feel that a programming language should be accomodating enough to allow you to mix and match, ESPECIALLY when I'm programming in ASP/VBScript and it allows me to do the same, while at the same time incorporate JavaScript into the code - yet my text editor still thinks we're in VB mode so it likes to capitalize the first letter of ever word.
Arrrrrghhh!
